Plenty of waves on offer all weekend. We like. Saturday, Bondi was a bit of a mess though. The winds were light early but already onshore for Bondi. So we’ve checked Maroubra as well. Maroubra did look very nice. It was a bit more protected from the early winds. Unfortunately, we were not the only ones who glued onto that. I could not believe how busy the Bra was. It was crazy. There must have been hundreds of surfers out there and ok there was no wind but the banks did not look that amazing. The one bank that did look great was already far too busy. We ended up going back to Bondi after all. Bondi was about 4 ft and onshore. It was not great. I still had a few fun waves and it was really nice to be in the water which is warming up now too.
Sunday was a write off for me. I did not mind so much in the morning because it did not look inviting at all. 3-4ft and onshore again. However, the wind started to drop throughout the day and it got better and better. Bondi was unusually quiet in the surf on Sunday despite the fairly good conditions in the afternoon. I’m not surprised though considering Saturday night was the night for the party of the year in Bondi… The Halloween party at the White House has become a bit of a tradition in Bondi. So much that half of Bondi was there including a good part of the people who you would usually find in the line up on Sunday. My suspicion is that I was not the only one who was damaged goods from the partying antics from the previous night.
The good news are that it should be really good tomorrow morning too so no need to be upset if you did not make it into the water today.
Have a good week everyone.

Wave starved? Move to seattle! There’s plenty of surf with no reefs it sucks.
