We are very excited to introduce the latest addition to the Venus Goes Gidget team. Welcome our new contributor…the gorgeous Rachel Fuller. She’ll be writing about her adventures in the surf for our blog. We are super excited because not only is she addicted to surfing (reminiscent of my own obsession) but a writer by trade which will make for some awesome stories. Stay tuned!
A bit more about Rachel:
Rachel Fuller is a writer. She has a background in the arts and writes regularly for ABC Arts and Renegade Collective. She has previously written for Art & Australia, Das Superpaper, runway, Artist Profile and online outlets such as Inertia, EyeContact, Ocula and Concrete Playground.
Together with her sister she also runs SMAC-nominated creative collective, bams & ted. bams & tedpresent literary and film themed pop-up shops in Sydney and Montreal.
She recently completed her Masters of Non-Fiction Writing at UTS, Sydney. In a bid to stave off Masters boredom she turned to surfing. Four months in she is slowly, slowly getting there. Most days you’ll find her down at Bondi, tackling that ever-changing classroom, with her trusty pink foamie, Diva by her side.
She has become that impossibly dull person who can’t talk about anything other than surfing – she forced her friends to learn to surf (thanks Claudia!), she reads bad surfing books (Tom and Nick Carroll’s TC, yes, she read the entire thing) and when she’s not watching surf films she’s working on the worst wetsuit tan this side of the Pacific. It’s safe to say this gidget has been bitten.
