On the last Sunday of September we joined forces with Stuart Paterson from PCC Boards for a special Gidget Surf Catch-up at Bondi Beach in celebration of spring.
The waves and banks at Bondi had been a bit unpredictable in the weeks running up to the event, however on the day we arrived to perfect, clean 2ft waves. The forecasted rain also held off, and so we set up on the grass at Bondi Beach for a morning of surfy fun.
Stu brought down over 20 beautiful boards from the PCC Boards range for Gidgets to test out in the waves, and everyone loved the opportunity to give a few different boards a go, with Stu on hand to help selecting and advising about the different models. Stu founded PCC Boards 15 years ago, and his wealth of experience and knowledge, combined with his passion for art and surfing really showed both in his creatively colourful boards and his excitement on the day.
In the words of Gidget Jess: Such a fun day today! I loved every minute seeing all the boards and getting to try them – such a great idea when buying a board :-)
If you’re interested in getting a board you can get in touch with Stu on (02) 9525 4542 – or visit him in his rad little shop near Cronulla, located at 34 B Kareena Road, Miranda.
Also my quiver now boasts two PCC surfboards, I can highly recommend them, and any questions happy to offer advice and tips!
Big thanks to Stu and his helpers Rielly and Jake for joining us, and thanks to all Gidgets that popped by – what an awesome day!
Gidget Annina xx
